PayMe is an e-wallet app launched by HSBC. It has two main functions: Transfer money from your own PayMe account to another PayMe account. Transfer money from a PayMe account to a Hong Kong bank account. You need to have a Hong Kong Mastercard or Visa credit card. You can use PayMe to pay.
How to use
You need to apply for an account before using it. The whole process can be done through the app (iOS / Android). Select "Register now" to create a new account, or register with your Facebook account. You need to provide some personal information. If the first credit card you add is not a HSBC credit card, you must provide a Hong Kong ID card. You can start using it immediately after completing the registration.
How to add money to your account
Directly debit the credit card and add the money to your PayMe account. The top-up will be carried out immediately. If you do not provide your ID card, the daily top-up limit is $3,000. If you provide your ID card for confirmation, the daily limit will increase to $5,000.

Successful payment.
If conditions permit, I like to use Apple Pay. In theory, NFC is the most secure. And you only need to press twice and touch Face ID. It is also very convenient online. Meituan, Didi and Duoduo all use this.
